Getting Started Guide
To help you get started, we've put together a step-by-step guide to show you how to set up your organization, configure your preferences, and enter master data. We've even included links to articles that will help you get started using cieTrade.net.
What you'll need to get started
If you've made it this far, then you are already using an acceptable browser. In any event, here are our Browser Requirements just in case you need to review them in the future.
Set up your organization
Now that you're ready to get started, we have mapped out the next steps that you should take in cieTrade.net. These steps may only take a few minutes but they may take longer depending on the size of your organization and the level of detail that you require. We suggest that you take the time to complete these steps now to save yourself the trouble of having to fix your data later.
Feel free to work through the steps one at a time. You can always find this page by clicking the question mark icon in the top right corner of your browser and selecting Getting Started.

- First, you'll need to create users so that your employees can join you online. Follow this step to add user accounts to your online company.

- Next, it's important that you complete your Organization Profile. We will show you how to add your logo and enter contact information, which will be displayed on your reports and documents.

- This next step is key to getting started on the right foot. The following preferences will establish how you are going to do business.

- cieTrade.net allows you to edit the Common Information that will define your business transactions. Click the links below to enter and edit your:
- The final preference to be set up is your payment terms. This article will walk you through adding and editing AR and AP Payment Terms.

- Once your settings have been formatted, it is time to map your GL Accounts. These are the accounts that allow cieTrade.net to speak to your accounting system and also that will determine how you are tracking your sales, purchases, and other expenses. Click here to learn more.

- Next, it is time to customize the list of products that you will be buying and selling. This can be done manually or by utilizing our Product Import Template, which is explained in more detail here.

- Finally, you will need to enter your Customers and Suppliers, known in cieTrade.net as Counterparties.

Start using cieTrade.net
You're now ready to do business in cieTrade.net! Get started by generating pricing agreements, otherwise known as Sales Orders and Purchase Orders, for your Customers and Suppliers. This article will help you take these next steps.
