Shipping Terms

Shipping Terms are used to define how commodities will be transported. In cieTrade.net, you have the ability to specify the Shipping Terms that will be used by your organization.

To add or edit:

• Navigate to Settings > Common Information > Shipping Term. Click the Add New button provided at the bottom of the page to add a new shipping term.
• To delete a shipping term, place your mouse over the line you wish to delete and click the Delete icon that appears to the right of the line.
• Ship Term is the Inco term
• Type is either Delivered (DLV) or FOB and further defines the responsibility of the freight. For example:
  • On a PO, DLV would be the Supplier delivered it or paying the freight to the Customers destination. FOB would mean the Customer is picking up from the Supplier or arranging their own Freight. 
  • On a So, DLV would mean you are responsible for delivering it directly to the Customers destination.
