How to Setup Warehouses & Locations

cieTrade has the ability to define the specific warehouse and locations that you house material at, giving you the ability to capture and accurately report where your material is currently at. Warehouse and Locations work in a parent/child relationship, where you may have one or more warehouses, and specific locations within that you store material at. As a general definition of these two terms:

Warehouse: Generally, if the area has it's own address, it should be setup as a Warehouse.

Location: Typically these are subsections of the encompassing warehouse/facility/area. This could be a specific building, silo, row/shelf, or any unique location that you store material at.

How to Create a New Warehouse and/or Location

How to Create a New Warehouse

1. Navigate to Settings > Warehouses.
2. Click + New Warehouse.
3. Enter a Warehouse Short Name.
4. Any additional information you need to store can be added at this time. 
5. Once you're finished, click Save.

You're done!

How to Create a New Location

1. Navigate to Settings > Warehouses.
2. Click on the Locations tab.
3. Click + New Location.
4. Select the correlating Warehouse (if any). 
5. Enter a Warehouse Location Name.
6. Once you're finished, click Save.

You're done!

Additional Information

How to Delete a Warehouse or Location

A warehouse or a specific location can be removed from the system by clicking the trashcan icon that appears upon hovering over the warehouse/location.

NOTE: You cannot delete a warehouse or location that has been referenced.

How to Setup a Warehouse for the Warehouse Capacity Report

To setup your warehouse(s) for the Warehouse Capacity Report, you will need to define a capacity for it.
