The Service Map

The Service Map allows users to view counterparties and locations within a designated range. The range can be based on a zip code, or be pinned at a specific counterparty location.

Turn the Service Map On:

  1. Navigate to your Settings > Preferences > System Options.
  2. Enable the setting Show Location Lookup.

Navigating to the Map:

The Service Map is housed within the Locations module. To find it, please follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Locations module.
  2. At the top of the inquiry, there will be a button labeled Service Map. Click it.

You will immediately be taken to the map.

Using the Service Map

To use the map:

  1. Establish a Range.
  2. You can filter by a Zip Code or by a Counterparty & Location.
  3. Additionally, you can use the Locations UDF(s) or Counterparty Type to further segment your results.
  4. Click Go.

Once you click Go, all of the results that meet your criteria will be shown. The 'pins' represent a counterparty location. Green pins represent Customers, and red ones represent Suppliers. For more information about the pin, or location, that you are looking at, hover over it.

Additional Features

A couple small features that you may be unaware of, but may improve how you use the map, are:

User Defined Fields

Both of the Location UDFs can be used to filter and further segment the locations on the map. For more information about setting up and using User Defined Fields, please see our helpfile here.

Map & Satellite View

The appearance of the map can be changed by using the Map and Satellite buttons located in the top left hand corner of the map.

Pegman/Street View

Google Street View is a supported feature within the map. It provides the ability to view and navigate the various places in the world through 360 degree horizontal and 290 degree vertical panoramic street level images. To use, click and hold the Pegman located at the bottom right hand corner, and drag him to the location on the map that you want to be placed. Once dropped, you will be taken to the street view of the location.

Zooming & Fullscreen

The zoom level can be adjusted by using the + and - buttons located in the bottom right hand corner of the map.
