Error Message: Active User Limit
If you experience the below error message when attempting to log into the system, that means that all your licenses are currently in use. A user will need to log out completely to free up a license for another user to log onto the database.
The user limit refers to the amount of users that can be logged onto the system at one time. This limit is dictated by the amount of licenses you currently have, and by the number of users currently logged onto cieTrade.
If needed, the license count can be found in two places in Settings.
1. On the Organization Profile at the bottom of the page.
2. Within the Users & Roles module on the Total Subscriptions field.
Any user that logs in consumes a subscription (or token), and typically clients purchase subscriptions based their need for concurrent user access. Users can still be logged on and technically using a license even if they were marked as inactive, because they never manually closed their session (logged off cieTrade). This does not change your monthly rate: they just simply are taking up that subscription token until their session is closed. At the same time, they are unable to use cieTrade because they are marked inactive.
To resolve this moving forward, users should manually sign off cieTrade every time they are done using the database for the day. Please note, just exiting your browser will not sign you out of cieTrade. Additionally, if you encounter this error again individuals with permission to manage account settings can sign users out in Settings. Visit our help file here for the steps.
