How to set up Infor Nexus integration

Infor-Nexus is one of the leading supply chain platforms for global trade and includes most of the world's ocean carriers as active participants on their network. With cieTrade's integration to Infor-Nexus, clients can directly submit Shipping Instructions electronically to steamship lines and receive confirmations within cieTrade. 

To set up this integration, you will need to contact the support team via email at support@cietrade.net. It takes about 4-6 weeks to file and be accepted by carriers. Below is a brief overview of the steps involved.

2. Support will ask you for a list of current carriers. Note, you must have a shipping history, current shipments or have a contract in place for the future in order to be accepted by the Steamship line. 

3. Support will ask you for an estimated tonnage or average number of shipped containers per month. A rough estimate is acceptable. 

4. Support will reach out on your behalf, assign you an ID number, and open the account with Infor Nexus.

5. Support will also give you a General Authorization form to fill out on your company letterhead, as well as special letters for some of the carriers. 

6. Support will communicate between you and the account representative to ensure that you are accepted. If you are not accepted, they will relay the reasons.
