How to change a counterparty name
If you need to change a counterparty short name, and you are linked to an accounting system, please follow the below steps:
QuickBooks Online
1. Confirm you are connected to QBO
2. Make the name change in cieTrade
3. Click Save. This will update the name in QBO
QuickBooks Desktop
1. Confirm you are connected to QB
1. Make the name change in cieTrade
3. Under Accounting> Transaction Manager> filter for Customer or Supplier> Export
4. Upload the file to QB Desktop
5. Check the Customer or Supplier to make sure that it was updated and not duplicated
Xero Accounting
1. Change the Customer or Supplier in Xero Accounting
2. Change the Customer or Supplier in cieTrade
