Scale Integration Products

The cieTrade Scale integration requires the scale to have its own IP Address. There are two different ways to set up a scale with an IP Address. Most often, you will need to purchase a serial-to-ethernet adapter which will be connected to the scale indicator and the local network.

Some scales have this function built in or you can purchase an "on-board" add on card that can be installed inside the indicator, in which case you wouldn't need an external adapter.

The scale must be set to put out a continuous data stream. Your scale company should know how to turn on this setting.

We do not have any specific recommendations for the scale. There are various models of external adapters but the one cieTrade integrates best with is the Lantronix UDS1100 (https://www.lantronix.com/products/uds1100-uds1100-poe/).

You may require assistance from an IT provider to install and configure the adapter on your network.

Once you are ready to link your scale to your cieTrade account please consult this help file for integration instructions: https://cietrade.helpscoutdocs.com/article/854-scale-integration
