Can I create multiple Brokerage Worksheets at once?
In some instances, you may prefer to quickly enter a range of loads into the system, possibly after receiving a block of Release Numbers from a mill. The Worksheet Generator feature allows you to enter common attributes that will populate each Worksheet created.
To use the Worksheet Generate:
1. First enable this feature under Settings> Preferences> Worksheets & Orders> Check 'Show Worksheet Generator'
2. This will now show on the left-hand menu of the main screen.
To use this feature:
- Click Worksheet Generator on the left-hand menu.
- Begin entering information as you would on an individual Worksheet. Enter the header information such as Department, Trade Type, Shipping Terms, and if applicable, Booking Number.
- Below, select your Customer in the Sold to and customer location in the ship to. In the Purchase From select your Supplier and the supplier location in the pick up drop down. You can additionally add a sales and/or purchase order.
4. If you have added the Orders, the Product and Packaging will populate automatically. Or you can manually enter the product/grade details.
5. If you are aware of any expenses, such as freight, at this time, enter the details in the Expense section.
6. The Assign To fields allow you to specify the Buy Rep, Sales Rep, and User who will be responsible for these Worksheets. The Buy and Sales Rep will populate automatically from the Counterparties selected, if defaults exist. The User can be used to assign these loads to a user in cieTrade.net other than yourself. NOTE: the user will default to the user logged in.
7. Enter any notes that will show in the Notes field on the Worksheet.
8. Use the Range section to enter the sequence of release numbers that you have received from your Customer or toggle the Apply To drop-down to Pickup No. to enter a sequence of pickup numbers for your Supplier.
9. If you would like, you can specify a Schedule for these loads to ship. To do so, set the Ship Date for the first load and then enter an Interval in the number of days. For example, if I choose to ship one load per day beginning on 11/16/2015, I would enter a First Ship Date of 11/16/2015 and an Interval of 1 Days.
10. If you check off 'Batch Edit' when you click Start, it will take you to an intermediate spreadsheet with each row representing one brokerage worksheet where you can edit specific details per worksheet to make them unique in bulk.
11. When you are satisfied with the details, click Start at the top right of the page. You will now be taken to the brokerage worksheet inquiry where you can view the newly created bulk worksheets.,
