How to Pack a Container

If you are holding inventory and selling containers or doing translating, you may need a way to Pack Containers. Here is how you do it:

NOTE: You will need to have serial inventory in your warehouse before you proceed. For more help regarding receiving inventory, please click here

1. Go to Container tab on the left-hand menu

2. Click Tasks> Pack Container

3. Choose a Booking, enter the Container Number, Seal Number, EQ Tare and select the Warehouse where the inventory is getting packed. 

4. Click Select Inventory. this will pull up the inventory picker, which only returns what is in the selected warehouse. If you know the specific lots you want to pull, you can use the Item Number or other filters to select the inventory products.  

5. Click Apply

6. Click Create. This will pull the inventory items from being 'available' and pack them into the Container. 

7. On the Container inquiry, the container will show as blue, meaning that it is packed. 

8. You can now select this packed container to ship on an Inventory Shipping worksheet.  For more questions on how to ship and bill for packed containers, visit our help file here.
