How do I create a BOL from the Booking?

The Bill of Lading Instruction document is used to provide steamship lines or freight forwarders with information needed to prepare an ocean Bill of Lading. This is especially important for export shipments, where certain documents must meet criteria stated on a Letter of Credit. When the document is generated, default information is transferred directly from the Brokerage Worksheet.

For cases in which you are not the Shipper on the Booking, cieTrade.net provides an Export Shipping Information section on the Sales Order that is attached to the Booking for you to enter the Shipper, Notify Party, and Notes that will appear on the Bill of Lading Instruction on the Booking.
