Price Indexes

The Index Pricing features in cieTrade.net allow you to manage pricing contracts using consistent price models, such as Pulp & Paper Week. When a new monthly price is applied to an Index, all orders referencing that Index will be automatically updated, as well as all loads shipped and received against applicable orders.

To create new Indexes:

1. Navigate to Pricing > Indexes. A list of Index Names will appear if any exist.
2. Click the Add New button provided at the bottom of the page to add a new Index Name.
3. Enter the name of the Index. The format is user definable. For example, a common naming convention may look like "PPW OCC(11) NY HIGH".
4. Continue entering each Index that you will be using. Click Save Settings when you are finished.

   

Continue on to create  Index Formulas as the next step in the setup process.
