How to Move Inventory From One Warehouse to Another

To move material from one warehouse to the other, create an Expense Allocation.

Set the Expense to Vendor (OTHER) and set your Price to $0.  Your Expense Account can be set to Warehousing or anything similar. This ensures that the allocation will not impact your financials at all.

Individual Inventory Items

Pull the Inventory items that are being moved onto your expense allocation by clicking Select Inventory.

Bulk Inventory Items

Pull the inventory items that are being moved by clicking Select Bulk. Use the typeable field to search for the bulk inventory you intend to move. Ensure you mark the check box to the left of the grade and select Apply to add it to your allocation. 

Set the Warehouse on the Expense Allocation to the new Warehouse that it is going to.

Place the Expense Allocation into POSTED Status and Save.

The inventory included on your expense allocation will now be available at the updated warehouse location.
