Attachments

Throughout cieTrade, users have the ability to upload outside files and supporting documentation and/or photos directly into the system. This gives you the ability to store files with their associated transaction, send them directly from the system via email, or allow you to reference it at a later time. The pages where you can expect to have this ability, are:

WARNING: 5MB is the maximum size allowed for files. Please see below for the supported file types.

Process of Adding an Attachment:

There are a few different ways that you can bring outside files into cieTrade. All of which will bring you to the same result. The options you have for uploading attachments, are:

  • Paperclip Icon
  • More Actions button > Attach File
  • Documents tab > New Document button > Attach File

To bring a file into cieTrade, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the applicable location (Order, Worksheet, Booking, etc.)
  2. Choose a method listed above. Once selected, a popup will appear allowing you to bring in the file(s).
  3. Either drag and drop the file/image into the dotted box, or click Browse to find it on your computer.
    1. If you elect to browse for it, find the attachment, select it, and click Open within the popup.
  4. Once the file has been brought into the popup, it will appear with the default file name that it was given. The attachment can be renamed by using the Attachment Name field. Using this field will not alter anything about the original file (outside of cieTrade), only the version held in cieTrade.
  5. If this is a container image, make sure the checkbox for Container Images is checked.
  6. Once finished, click Attach to bring the file(s) into the system.

NOTE: All attachments will sit in the Documents tab once uploaded. From here, you can view, email, and manage the attachment(s).

NOTE: cieTrade will condense any file that is uploaded to a more manageable file size.

Additional Information:

  • If you attach container photos to a Receiving Ticket, the photos will automatically pull onto the Shipping Worksheet that the container is put on.
