Customer Ledger
cieTrade.net API Documentation - Customer Ledger
cieTrade.net API Documentation Integrations
Returns a record of accounts receivable activity over a given period — invoices, payments, credit and
debit memos, adjustments, and interest charges — for one customer or for all customers. This is the
detail behind the cieTrade Statement report, and is generated from the same underlying report logic so
that results stay consistent between cieTrade and the API.
Authentication
As with all cieTrade.net API calls, requests are authenticated using an authorized UserID passed as a
parameter on the GET request URL, together with a Bearer Token supplied in the authorization
header. The token is found in account settings under Integration ® Api Token. The user must have
Can Access cieTrade API enabled under Settings > Users & Roles.

Response Fields
Field Description
CpID Counterparty-ID of the customer.
Customer Customer name.
InvoiceNo Invoice the transaction belongs to. Payments, memos and adjustments carry the invoice
number they were applied against.
Transaction Transaction type: INVOICE, a payment posting type such as CRE or UAC, CREDIT MEMO,
DEBIT MEMO, or the adjustment / interest reason (for example SALES DISCOUNT).
DocumentNo Source document. The invoice number for invoices, Pmt# <check no> for payments, or
<reason>/<invoice> for memos.
Date Transaction date — invoice date, payment date, or posting date.
DueDate Invoice due date. Null on non-invoice rows.
PastDue Days past due as of today, for invoices carrying an open balance. Returns 0 when the invoice
is settled.
CurrencyCd Transaction currency.
Amount Transaction amount in the transaction currency. Payments and credits are negative.
Balance Open balance remaining on the invoice.
StatementNo Grouped invoice number, when invoices are grouped onto a single statement. Null otherwise.
Notes
• Rows are returned sorted by customer, then currency, then invoice number, matching the order of the
Statement report.
• The date range filters on invoice date. Payments, memos and adjustments are included whenever
they apply to an invoice that falls inside the range, even if the payment itself was posted later.
• Amounts are reported in the transaction currency of each invoice.
• Errors are returned as a single ERROR field describing the problem, rather than as an HTTP status
code.
