How to move inventory

cieTrade makes moving inventory between warehouse (or physical locations) easy and efficient. 

If you are simply moving where the inventory is stored or which warehouse its  not at, without incurring additional cost or needing to raise freight documentation:

1. On the Inventory manager, filter to find the segment of inventory you want to move. 

2. check off the items you want want to relocate

3. Click Batch Edit at the top of the inquiry and select the warehouse and location you want to move it to. 

4. Click apply. The inventory records have been moved. You can click on an inventory item and double check the warehouse and location are the new, updated ones to confirm. 

If you need to add costs associated with this transfer (making a payable for a 3rd party or adding the costs into the COGS of the inventory items) and/or raise freight documentation,  then you should create an expense allocation. Here is a help file that will walk you through it step by step.
