Scrap Metal Reports

cieTrade has a tab just for Scrap Metal yard management. From here users can view ivnetory positions, WIP vs FG, and move inventory with regrades or create finished goods for sale.

1. On the left hand menu> Yard Inventory.

2. On the Overview tab you can see a high level view of all of the weight for the selected yard/warehouse. By selecting a Grade you can see all of your inventory positions per grade.

- WIP means it is designated to a WIP class. This is the default for all received material and can be restricted so you can only receive these grades.

- Finished Goods is material that is allocated from WIP to Finished Goods. This material can be defined by packaging, warehouse location, assigned a barcode tag, and shipped out.

- Total is the amount of weight you own (WIP + Finished Good)

- Committed is weight of that grade that you have pulled onto a shipping worksheet but have not shipped. This is to give you accurate inventory levels that you have left to process or sell.

- Avg cost is looking at the cost per UOM across the grade.

-Value is how much you have paid for all of that grade, at that Total weight.

Across the top of the inquiry are all of the actions you can do to manage your inventory:

1. +Finished Goods is how you can create Finished Goods inventory. This is an allocation from the WIP grade(s) into a Finished Good. You can also define packaging, the number of units, and generate barcodes. The barcodes can be scanned to build packing lists on shipping worksheets for quick and effcient loading.

2. +Adjustment is a tool to allow you to true up your inventory. Typically this is done at the end of the month or quarter. Adding weight to a grade will reduce the average cost and decreasing weight for a grade will increase the average cost of the grade. The amount you paid for the material will not change- only the weight will change.

3. +Regrade is the process of defining the material you processed by  allocating the weight of the WIP grade into the new processed grade. For instance, if you received 40,000LBS of OCC and baled the material but have not sold it, you could regrade the OCC into BALED OCC.
