How do I restrict my users to one warehouse?

Out of the box, cieTrade will not restrict your users from pulling inventory from other warehouses, even when they are set to a default warehouse.  In order to configure this in your database, the system requires you to complete all of the following steps. 

  1. The user profile should be set up with a Default Warehouse and locked to a Default Department.
    1. This can be done by navigating to Users & Roles in Settings and opening the user profile to edit.  
  2. The Warehouse profile has to have a Department chosen from the drop down.  If you want to restrict a user to view only this warehouse, the Default Department on the user profile and the Department on the warehouse profile need to match.  
    1. Warehouses can be updated in Settings > Warehouses.
  3. The ‘Pick Inventory from Selected Warehouse Only’ setting should be enabled in Settings > Preferences > Worksheets & Orders.
