How can I manually assign a unit cost to an output item?

Users may need to fix the per unit cost for individual products created on a Converting Job. Please read below to see the steps and rules involved.

RULE: You cannot fix every output product. One grade line will need to be unfixed so that it carries the positive or negative difference in the COGS from the input and the COGS in the output. You will not be able to save the converting job in Posted status with all grades fixed. 

1. On a Converting Job, click +Add item and select the grade and enter the weight that you want to assign this grade. 

2. Check 'Fixed Cost' and enter the value you want to assign this grade. In this example, the converting job is a sort and therefore my TRASH grade is going to have a $0 cost. 

3. Click Save on the grade line and complete the Converting Job.
