Booking ETA Service
cieTrade's BOOKING ETA Service fetches ETA information from qualified ocean carriers and automatically updates booking records and payment terms based on ETA. The service runs automatically each day and generates an email notification with the bookings updated and any exceptions.
How to enable:
1. Under Settings> Preferences> System Options
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and check Auto Update Booking ETA's with live data from supported carriers
3. Enter the email addresses of the recipients. If you have more than one internal recipient you can separate the email addresses with a comma or a colon separator:
4. Click Save Settings at the top of the page
Requirements:
1. This service is only available through the following carriers (this list will update within the system as new ones are added)

2. The booking must be in any status other than CANCELLED
3. The carrier's SCAC must be correct and entered on the counterparty level. This is because the ETA update matches based on the carrier's SCAC and Booking number. The SCAC can be entered on the primary counterparty under the Instructions tab:
4. The update service runs once every 12 hours (12 am and 12 pm EST). If a booking was updated within that 12 hours, then you will be notified and the booking itself will be updated.
This is a sample email. It will list all of the updated Bookings as well as list any update Errors:
Update Errors:
Below is a list of potential exceptions that may be generated:
- FindTEU System error. (update service is down)
- Carrier not responding.
- Carrier performing system maintenance.
- Container/Booking not found, or Booking has been Canceled.
- Invalid container/booking number.
Carrier Not supported.
