Service Contracts
Service Contracts can be stored in the system to let you know that a contract is expiring, or pricing needs to be changed. Below are the steps to set up the information from your Service Contracts.
How to Enable the Contracts Module
Navigate to Settings > Preferences > System Options, and check off Service Contract Manager. Once saved, this will now be available within the Service module.
How to Track Contracts in the System
- Navigate to Service > Contracts.
- Click + New Service Contract.
- Enter the Contract No.
- Enter a Contract & Expiry Date.
- (Optional) Enter a Service Provider.
- Enter an Account and Location.
- A Contract Description and Renewal Terms can be entered.
- An Effective Date and Description can be added for planned price escalations.
- Once finished, click Save.
A notification can be sent that a contract is expiring. You can identify who the recipient of that email is by setting this up within your settings. Navigate to settings > scheduled reports and enter the email address of the person you would like to receive these notifications. The notifications will be sent to this recipient as outlined within the "send notification" section of the service contract.
Deleting an existing contract is very easy. To do so, navigate to the top right area of the page and click More Actions > Delete Contract.
