Process Job

The new Process Job allows recycling plants on our bulk non-perpetual inventory model to track daily production runs on in-house equipment (such as a baler). It allows several input grades to be allocated on a percentage basis to a single output grade, while also allowing managers to easily view productivity by equipment or output.

Getting Started

The Process Job can be found within the Warehouse module. Navigate to Warehouse > Process Job to get started.

How to Create a Process Job:

  1. From the Process Job module, click + New Job.
  2. The page you are brought to is the standard Process Job form. Enter the metadata for the job (such as Date, Job-Type, Warehouse, Machine, Operator, Shift, and operating time).
  3. The Input is the material that is being consumed by the job. The Output is what was produced. Start with selecting the Grade(s) that are being consumed.
  4. Enter the weight of the grade(s) being consumed within the Weight field.
  5. Select the Grade that is being produced on the Output side.
  6. There are two ways to record the weight of the output:
    1. Average Weight - Enter the number of units being produced and the average weight of each unit within the Units and Avg-Wt fields. Once done, click Calculate and the weight will automatically be calculated.
    2. Fixed Weight - Enter the total weight of the output within the Weight field.
  7. Once finished, update the Status to Completed and click Save.

Once saved, the job can be found on the Process Job inquiry.
