Worksheet Generator

The Worksheet Generator produces multiple Brokerage or Inventory Sales Worksheets using a predefined set of default values. Typically used to stage a set of expected shipments to a designated customer.

Getting Started:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences > System Options
  2. Enable the setting for Show Worksheet Generator

NOTE: Previously part of Brokerage Worksheet Manager is now its own top-level menu option controlled from Software Settings.

How to Use:

Once enabled, you will find the Worksheet Generator module/tab on the main left hand menu

  • Click the Worksheet Generator tab and a new window will open.
  • Begin entering information as you would on an individual Worksheet. Enter your Sold To and Purchase From details, using the Lookup buttons to link to the appropriate Sales and Purchase Orders.

  • The Product and Packaging will populate automatically based on your Sales and Purchase Order selection.

  • If you are aware of any expenses, such as freight, at this time, enter the details in the Expense section.

  • The Assign To fields allow you to specify the Buy Rep, Sales Rep, and User who will be responsible for these Worksheets. The Buy and Sales Rep will populate automatically from the Counterparties selected, if defaults exist. The User can be used to assign these loads to a user in cieTrade other than yourself.

  • If you would like to add Brokerage Notes, you can enter these in the Notes section.

  • Use the Range section to enter the sequence of release numbers that you have received from your Customer or toggle the Apply To drop-down to Pickup No. to enter a sequence of pickup numbers for your Supplier.

  • If you would like, you can specify a Schedule for these loads to ship. To do so, set the Ship Date for the first load and then enter an Interval in number of days. For example, if you choose to ship one load per day beginning on 5/1/2023. I would enter a First Ship Date of 5/1/2023 and an Interval of 1 Days.

  • When you have completed entering information, click Start and the Worksheet Generator tool will run. This will bring you to the Brokerage Inquiry screen where you can find and manage your worksheet.
