Using the Driver Assignment Board
The Driver Assignment board allows users to assign dispatch jobs to their dispatch driver at a click of a button. It will lay out all of your drivers along with all of the currently assigned jobs (if any). From here, you can drag and drop assigned or unassigned jobs to the driver that should be fulfilling it.
Turn Driver Assignment On:
- Navigate to your Settings > Preferences > System Options.
- Enable the setting Use Driver Assignment Board.
Finding the Driver Assignment:
Once enabled, the Driver Assignment module can be found within the panel on the left hand side of the screen, where the modules are held. Between the Dispatch and Service module will be Driver Assignment.
Using the Driver Board:
The first column on the board will be labeled (Unassigned). This column contains all of your dispatch jobs that are unassigned to a driver (i.e they do not have one). To use the page:
- Set the Date for the jobs you would like to look at and assign.
- (optional) The Warehouse filter can be used to filter your results based on the given warehouse.
- To assign a driver a job, drag and drop the job (represented by a box) into the column of a driver, and it will automatically be assigned to them.
NOTE: You can use the Driver Assignment page to assign, or unassign drivers a job.
Color Guide:
