Creating & Using Signatures

cieTrade allows users to add their own custom signature to documents and emails. Email signatures will be applied to all of the user's outgoing emails from the system and will only be applied once the email has been sent. It will not appear within the email body when you are creating the email. Document signatures can only be applied to a given amount of documents. The documents that the signature should be applied too, will need to be checked off during the setup.

NOTE: The word "signature" is loosely used in this article. Text, images, stamps, or other forms of static digital media are supported.

How to add an Email Signature:

  1. Go to Settings > Users & Roles.
  2. Hover over the user you are adding the signature to and a pen icon will appear. Click it.
  3. Add the email signature to the text field. You can create one from scratch, copy and paste, or upload an image.

NOTE: a red pen icon means a user currently has an email signature saved. A blank white one means they do not.

How to add a Document Signature:

There are two document signatures the system can hold. The first is a company wide, standard digital signature. This type of signature will be applied to the document unless the user viewing it, has their own signature set up.

Company Wide Signature:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences > Digital Signature.
  2. Upload an image of the signature by using the Upload Signature button.
  3. The possible documents the signature can be applied to will be shown below. Enable the documents you want it to show on.
  4. Click Save Settings.

User's Personal Signature:
  1. Navigate to Settings > Users & Roles > select a User.
  2. Upload an image of the signature by using the Upload your signature button.
  3. Below the signature will be the possible documents that it can be applied it. Enable the documents you want it to show on.
  4. Click Save User.

The system now has your signature saved and will be applied to the respective documents upon viewing them.
