Order Module Overview

There are 4 submodules coined under the term Orders. They are:

  1. Sales Orders
  2. Purchase Orders
  3. Order Management
  4. Contract Roll Forward

Orders are the term cieTrade uses to represent a (staged) worksheet, or contract, that holds no financial or inventory significance.

Sales Orders are for contracts of the selling of materials, or the outbound of products/grades. These contracts usually include the quantity being sold, and the price its being sold at.

Purchase Orders are for contracts for purchasing materials, or the inbound of materials. These contracts usually include the quantity purchased, and the price purchased at.

Order Management is a one stop shop for the management and reporting of your orders.

Contract Roll Forward allows you to roll the price forward to the next month for your orders. This is ideal if you have recurring orders using the same pricing.

Within the orders, you also have the ability to stage a budget or an expense. These are expenses that you can expect to happen, they can include freight expenses, as well as expenses that you will be passing along to your customer or supplier.

The Order Management screen shows you open or closed purchase or sales orders all on one screen. The report filters on the side panel allows you to search for specific information relating to an order.
